AQCDC Roundtable Event 2016

The Advance Queensland Community Digital Champions program aims to encourage Queenslanders to explore and enjoy the benefits of the digital age – through the stories and activities of inspirational champions.

The Advance Queensland Community Digital Champions Roundtable event brought our Champions together with business, industry, community, government, regional and library representatives to focus on advancing digital literacy and inclusion in Queensland.

The Honourable Leeanne Enoch MP, Minister for Innovation, Science and the Digital Economy and Minister for Small Business opened the program and Round 2 Champions were announced.

We were also delighted to have renowned international digital thought leader, Ms Helen Milner OBE, provide the keynote address. Helen is the Chief Executive of Tinder Foundation, the UK’s leading not-for-profit social enterprise, pioneering digital inclusion.

Other speakers provided information on digital literacy and future needs in the areas of health, education, business and communities. Potential digital inclusion activities and opportunities for further collaboration were also explored.

This event was livestreamed, and the presenter videos, along with photos of the day, are now available.
